When should buyers choose straight, U, W, SG or SGR SiC elements?

Straight SiC rods are a practical starting point when the furnace has terminals on both sides or enough installation length. U type and W type elements are reviewed when wiring is limited to one side, when the chamber is compact or when a special phase layout is needed.

SG and SGR spiral elements may be reviewed for compact heating zones, higher resistance requirements or special furnace layouts. The final choice should still be checked with drawings, element spacing, resistance, atmosphere and working temperature.
