Is Globar the same as a silicon carbide heating element?

Globar is a third-party product name often seen when buyers search for silicon carbide heating elements. In procurement discussions, some buyers use it to describe SiC heating rods in general, but a quotation should not rely on the brand word alone. Henan Lasting is not affiliated with the Globar brand.

Does generic mean interchangeable? No. A search for generic Globar elements does not establish a drop-in replacement. A matching material name or outer diameter is not sufficient: the installed shape, hot and cold zones, mounting clearances, terminal layout, resistance, electrical loading and furnace conditions must be reviewed together.

For an overseas furnace replacement RFQ, provide the original grade or model if known, dimensions, resistance and its measurement conditions, voltage, current, power, circuit grouping, working temperature, atmosphere, quantity and labelled drawings or photos.
