Heat Treatment Fixture Accessories: Selection Guide for Industrial Furnace Buyers

The search term heat treatment fixture accessories can describe a wide range of furnace-side items, from loading fixtures and supports to terminal hardware. For a heating element replacement project, the useful first step is to define the accessory scope that actually connects to the element and the furnace installation. Henan Lasting's current accessory range covers silicon carbide clamps and holders and conductive connection tape for SiC and MoSi2 heating element systems.

This guide is for overseas furnace builders, heat-treatment maintenance buyers, kiln operators and industrial furnace engineers who need to compare accessory fit before sending an RFQ. It explains the data needed for terminal accessories. It does not claim to supply generic baskets, trays, tongs, furnace rails or other load-carrying fixtures that are outside the current heating element accessory range.

Quick answer: define the fixture and terminal boundary first

Before comparing an accessory price, identify whether the item holds the element, carries current to the terminal, or supports the workpiece. A clamp or holder secures the connection area; the conductive connection tape carries current from the element terminal to the bus bar. These functions should stay separate in the drawing, purchase scope and receiving record.

Accessory scopeCurrent Lasting referenceBuyer decisionEvidence to send
SiC clamp or clipHC and CC clips, G and D clamps, with C, G and M clamp references shown on the accessory page.Confirm cold-end diameter, clamp type and terminal clearance.Terminal photo, measured cold-end diameter, existing clamp mark and quantity.
MoSi2 holderHolder groups for 3/6, 4/9, 6/12 and 9/18 element diameter pairs.Match the holder group to the MoSi2 shank or element diameter and hanging layout.Element diameter pair, shank or holder photo, installed height and furnace drawing.
SiC conductive connection tapeType S, Type D and Type Q braid references.Review tape type, current path, installed slack and clamp structure together.Strap length, width, thickness, circuit current, terminal photo and bus-bar route.

How to select accessories for a heat-treatment furnace

Start with the installed element, not a generic furnace model name. For SiC, record the element type, diameter, hot zone, cold end and circuit scope. For MoSi2, record the U or W shape, hot-zone and shank diameters, cold-end length, leg spacing and holder arrangement. Then check the space outside the furnace wall where the clamp and connection tape must fit.

Selection checkWhat to confirmWhy it matters
Mechanical fitCold-end or shank diameter, terminal shape, wall opening, support position and clearance.A clamp that matches the hot-zone name but not the cold end can create an unstable or stressed connection.
Electrical pathConnection tape or braid type, current per element or group, voltage scope and circuit grouping. The clamp secures the joint; the conductor must be reviewed against the current it carries.
Thermal boundaryDistance from the furnace wall, terminal location and any known cooling or heat-radiation constraint.Terminal hardware must remain in its intended area and should not transfer heat or mechanical load into the element.
Replacement evidenceBefore-disassembly terminal photos, old accessory dimensions, element drawing and affected furnace position.Photos help distinguish a worn accessory from an element or circuit problem.
Commercial scopeQuantity per element, zone and spare set, packing scope and destination details.Accessory quantity is easy to omit when the RFQ names only the heating element.

When a fixture accessory problem looks like an element failure

A new element can still develop a hot joint when the clamp has lost contact pressure, the terminal diameter does not match, or the connection tape is too short or undersized for the circuit. Discoloration at the joint, a brittle strap, repeated damage at one furnace position or a strap pulled tight should be recorded as observations first. Use the clamp and connection tape inspection guide to organize the evidence, then keep any suspected cause separate from the replacement request.

For the electrical record, state whether voltage, current and resistance apply to one element, one group, one phase or the complete furnace. The SiC resistance measurement FAQ and resistance worksheet explain why a room-temperature reading or an unlabelled whole-group value cannot replace a scoped operating record.

RFQ checklist for heat treatment fixture accessories

  • Furnace type, zone or position, process application and element material.
  • Element type or shape, diameter, hot zone, cold end, shank or leg spacing and quantity.
  • Clamp, clip, holder or connection tape currently installed, with clear photos before disassembly.
  • Cold-end diameter, terminal arrangement, wall thickness and available outside clearance.
  • Voltage, current, resistance, power and series or parallel grouping with the measurement scope.
  • Accessory quantity per element or zone, spare quantity, packing and destination details.
  • Drawing revision, known limitations and every missing field marked unknown.

Send this information through the heating element RFQ form. If the item is a general workpiece fixture rather than a heating element terminal accessory, describe the required load, geometry and furnace interface so the scope can be reviewed before a quotation is assumed.

FAQ

What information is needed to quote heat treatment fixture accessories?

State the furnace and element application, material and type, hot-zone and cold-end dimensions, terminal or holder arrangement, current or electrical records, quantity, spare quantity, installation clearance and photos or drawings. Mark any unknown field as unknown instead of guessing.

How should buyers choose dimensions for heating element accessories?

Choose a clamp or holder from the actual cold-end diameter, terminal structure and available clearance. Choose conductive connection tape from the element connection, circuit current and installed route; the furnace model or hot-zone diameter alone is not enough.

When should resistance, voltage and power be checked before replacing an accessory?

Check the electrical records when a connection tape, clamp or holder has overheated, when the element group is being replaced, or when the existing circuit scope is unclear. Keep the reading scope, temperature, element or group ID and connection method with the accessory RFQ.

For a matched accessory and heating element review, use the heating element accessories category, complete the RFQ form or contact Henan Lasting with the marked drawing and terminal photos.
